I am a Career Step student. I enrolled
in late April and have enjoyed meeting many other steppers and MT family members
here at MTville. Everyone is so nice and helpful here, and I'm proud to be a
new member.
I have been married to my wonderful husband and best friend for 13 years now.
We live in a small college town in Arkansas and have two dogs. One is a 13-year-old
basset name "Jed" and the other a 5-year-old chocolate lab named "Rowdy".
My husband and I were involved in a wreck in December 2004. The only serious
injury that I sustained was that I broke both bones in my left forearm, which
had to be plated and also had skin and muscle damage. In March, I had a skin
graft done on my arm, and then in April, the ulnar plate broke in half. I am
now wearing a bone stimulator and hoping to avoid yet another surgery to correct
this problem. Therefore, I am not progressing as fast as I would like in my
course work, but I will get there sooner or later. Due to extensive medical
leave, I lost my job of 12 years with a local sporting goods company as their
office manager.
I have a cousin who is an MT. Her work has always sounded very interesting to
me and I thought it would be wonderful to be able to work from home. Therefore,
I enrolled in Career Step for my training.
I look forward to being a productive and employed MT in the very near future.
